CHARLIE,SKY AND CHURCHILL

Charlie is my dog,you will have seen him in my posts from time to time,the two other dogs belong to the visitors who have been here since Christmas.Sky and Churchill live in Hungary,but have been here so long now I think they will hate to leave in February.Charlie and sky are best  friends,they love each other,it is a good job they have both been spayed.!!!

Churchill is the small black dog,sky is the other one,she has the most amazing blue eyes,though in this picture they look yellow.

We have had a beautiful day today,the sun has been out and the chill has gone out of the air,I think spring is on the way.
I hope all of you across the big pond,who are snowed in are keeping warm and safe.

FROSTY SUN RISE ON THE MOUNTAIN.

I was up and out on a walk at 7.30 this morning,to photograph the deer,but  they must have moved on because I did not see any at all.What I did see was this view of the illuminated mountain as the sun came up,it was also very frosty and these shots turned out quite well ,so I am not ashamed to post them.unlike the pics in my last post.!!!!

I also found the first gorse bush to come into bloom,sure sign that spring is not far away.

Yellow flowers at this time of year when every thing else is drab cheers me up.

PORCELAIN OWL & OTHER PRESENTS

Do you remember Eddy the owl,an Eagle owl that my husband rescued back in the summer. I am pleased to say he is doing well in his new home at the sanctuary and is flying for  public displays,a real crowd puller and is raising money for the sanctuary.

As John was so attached to Eddy and missed him very much,he was given a Christmas present of a Chinese porcelain owl which he loves.No substitute for the real thing but a lovely gesture from Pam who put a lot of thought into buying the present. John now wants to collect owls,so I know what his birthday present will be.!!

I received a chicken biscuit barrel,I have a glazed green chicken,a Victorian one,which I keep in the kitchen,so it looks as if I will be starting a new collection as well.I also received a beautiful Waterford crystal vase,you can never have too many vases,but this one is the poshest one I own.The photo of it is not good,but it gives you an idea of it,excuse the awful flower arrangement in it,I just stuck them in to take the photo.!!
This post is done in desperation, nothing interesting has been happening and I am foraging around for something to write about.Until the next time,take care and for those of you who have snow and ice,keep warm and safe.

  

  

THE NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to all my followers,I wish you peace , good health and may your wishes be fulfilled.

I have been away from my desk for longer than I had planed as the visitors are still in residence also I caught a nasty cold and to top it all my computer was violated with a virus.
I received an email on Christmas Day,but did not find it until the 29th as I had not been near the computer,it was from a trusted source,or so I thought,so I opened it.The email stated that I should not delete it as it would activate on the 30th if I did,what did I do?? I deleted it,silly me,not believing the printed warning.!! It sent my beloved computer nuts,the email would not work,I lost all my contacts and stored mail,it would not connect to my server and everything was scrolling out of control.
I had to have the computer dealt with by an expert,but that was difficult being the holiday weekend,but thankfully it is now purged of the contagion,cleaned and sanitized and working well.
My lesson for the New Year is to be more wary before opening my mail,change my pass word more often and change my email address.
The weather has been dismal,dark,damp,misty,not good for photography,so no photos to accompany this post,but as soon as I can get some inspiration and the energy to go out again,I will be photo blogging .
